Linguine with Tuna, Shrimp and Cherry Tomatoes
Linguine with tuna, shrimp and cherry tomatoes — a quick pantry pasta that is on the table in about twenty minutes. The oil from the tuna tins goes into the pan with the olive oil, and that is where most of the flavour comes from. Pouring it down the sink is the mistake.

Method
- Put the linguine on to cook.
- Pour the oil from the tuna tins into a pan along with the olive oil. Add the chopped onion and fry over medium-low heat until soft.
- Add the grated garlic, the tuna and the spices. Mix well.
- Add the shrimp and fry for a few minutes.
- Pour in the passata and simmer for about 10 minutes, until most of the liquid has gone. A pinch of sugar helps if the tomatoes are sour.
- Add the basil and the cherry tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes more.
- Toss with the drained pasta, then top with basil and parmigiano.
Top with basil and plenty of grated parmigiano, and serve it straight away.
